We have a range of brake chambers, disc brake chambers, and rotor chambers.
It is important to understand how a brake chamber works. Force from the brake chambers is transmitted by the slack adjuster to the brake camshaft causing it to rotate. The S Cam forces the brake shoes apart, pressing them against the inside of the brake drum. When the brake is released, the brake camshaft rotates the S Cam back to its neutral position. The brake shoes are returned to their initial position by tension springs. Braking efficiency can be compromised if these components are not set up correctly. Please refer to the download below for correct setup diagrams.
The force from the brake chambers is transmitted by the slack adjuster to the brake camshaft causing it to rotate. Automatic slack adjusters operate the same as manual, but adjust the brakes automatically while the vehicle is operating, without constant manual adjustment for wear.
We have a full range of manual slack adjusters for all applications.
